Heather has always been passionate about music and the healing properties of sound and mindfulness. In 2021 she created Healing Harmony in response to the emerging health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Healing Harmony was formed as a direct result of her own healing journey and her calling to heal others.
By the middle of last year Heather knew something was very wrong. She was suffering from anxiety, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome and depression. Her life force was literally draining away. Something had to change. On the last day of 2020 she made the difficult decision to end her decades long career as a legal professional. She did not know she would begin her career as a healer on the very same day.
She had planned to fill the early part of 2021 with yoga, training for a marathon, hikes, snowshoeing, and other outdoor activities with friends. That is not however, what happened. Instead, while dancing in celebration of the end of the most challenging year of her life, she sustained a severe and unexpected knee injury. Healing Harmony was born out of her healing journey through surgery, pain and recovery. This journey brought her back home to her decades long practice of meditation, mindfulness, and music.
Heather received a BA in Music from the University of Washington and completed post-graduate studies in vocal performance at New York University. She has performed with elite vocal ensembles in Japan and throughout the Pacific Northwest including the Seattle Opera. She is a certified sound therapist and life long meditator.
